Trump Plaza Hotel

In March 1988, Donald Trump acquired the Plaza Hotel in New York City for approximately $407 million. Following the purchase, his then-wife, Ivana Trump, oversaw significant renovations to restore the hotel’s historic grandeur. Despite these efforts, the hotel faced financial challenges, leading to a debt restructuring in 1992, where Trump relinquished a 49% stake to creditors. In 1995, Trump sold the Plaza to a group of investors, concluding his ownership of the iconic property.
